Education:Associate's Degree in Nursing with dialysis experience. ONS Chemotherapy Administration Certification or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Completes admitting paperwork for patients.
  • Helps to educate patients on dialysis procedures and chemotherapy medications.
  • Monitors patients’ vitals and lab reports.
  • Interprets patient’s lab results and adjusting care as needed.
  • Assures compliance with Regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluates, plans, implements, and documents nursing care for patients with kidney failure.
  • Initiates dialysis, monitors patient and dialysis machine, and terminates the dialysis procedure.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of tasks.
  • Gives compassionate and thorough care and education to patients.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing
  • Certified as a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of clinical experience, or an LPN currently enrolled in a RN program and will receive their license within 6 months
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strict adherence to safety policies and procedures
  • Continued education and training as required
  • Potential travel for required educational and training requirements
  • ONS Certification or willing to obtain.
